15 March 2012, Hamburg, Germany, 09:30 – 16:00

Organized by Lindholmens Science Park and Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in the frame of the Interreg IVB project E-Mobility NSR

Review

On 15 March 2012, the E-Mobility NSR teams from Lindholmen Science Park and Hamburg  University of Applied Sciences organised a specialist workshop to share experiences and inform about the future of fast charging for e-vehicles in the North Sea Region.

Hosted by the Hamburg team, more than 40 international participants, among them many stakeholders from e-mobility related sectors such as utilities and automotive, the workshop provided insights about latest news on the development and provision of fast charging technology solutions for e-vehicles, also referred to as quick charging in some countries

Speakers from industry, service providers, automotive producers, technology transfer organisations as well as local authorities presented current initiatives. The E-Mobility partners showcased current country experiences on fast charging, elaborated on the challenge of defining a unified standard and provided a first outlook on future developments and opportunities of promising solutions. In the end, the workshop participants jointly discussed existing barriers for further deployment of fast charging within the NSR.
