Latest EV Index screens EV sales and production in 12 countries – NL and N strong through EV fleets
17. September 2014According to EV news service electrive.com, Since 2010, the Electric Vehicles Index, developed by McKinsey, offers four times a year insights from a national level perspective how nations perform in terms of electric mobility diffusion. In a total of twelve countries (China, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, Portugal, Spain, South Korea, the US), two dimensions are analyzed which offer key demand-side as well as supply-side information. The results are then compared to the situation in Germany.
Whereas countries with strong automotive production (US, Germany, Japan, France) top the index, two new countries entered the index which stir up the EV community: Worldwide, the countries which show the largest market share of EVs in fleets are the Netherlands (2%) and Norway (1,1%).
