- International conference: “TOWARDS TRANSNATIONAL E-MOBILITY – EUROPEAN INSIGHTS ON CHARGING TECHNOLOGIES AND THE ELECTRIFICATION OF HEAVY TRANSPORT”
Background of the international conference:
In order to achieve reduced green house gas emissions from the transport sector, there is a need to go from policies to actions. Throughout Europe a number of measures have been taken to stimulate and foster the use of electric vehicles of different types. This conference gives insights on policy plans for reduced use of fossil fuel and increased e-mobility, research on consumer – vehicle interaction as well as development of electric vehicle technology. There will be a focus towards the electrification of heavy transport and its yet untapped potential.
The conference is arranged by Lindholmen Science Park and Elforsk as an activity within the EU-funded project North Sea Region Electric Mobility Network (E-Mobility NSR). The project strives to create favourable conditions to promote the common development of e-mobility in the North Sea Region.
Aims:
- Discuss measures on how to prepare regions and cities for electric vehicles, taking views from policymakers, industry and EV users into account.
- Discuss the potential as well as the technologies related to the electrification of heavy road transport.
- Networking among the participants and speakers.
An accompanying exhibition showcases local initiatives, companies and new research.
