Launch of Dutch E-Mobility Help Desk during Ecomobiel conference 2013

06. November 2013

The E-Mobility NSR team at the Province of North Holland

The Province of Nord Holland partnered with MRA-Electric to host a booth at this year’s Ecomobiel, the largest annual exhibition and fair in the Netherlands for sustainable mobility. Here, the Province and MRA-Electric showcased information about Dutch cutting edge projects like SolaRoad, innovative partnerships like the “Coast2 Coast EV connection,” and updates about pubic charging infrastructure in the region.

A highlight was the launch of the first E-Mobility Helpdesk in the Netherlands on October 8th 2013. With currently 13,000 electric vehicles in the Netherlands, and 10,000 more are expected by 2020, there is a growing need for information on electric mobility, especially on local level. Consequently, MRA-E has created a Help Desk dedicated to local governments who have questions about the charging infrastructure needed for this increasing amount of electric vehicles. Elisabeth Post, Vice Governor of the Province Noord-Holland, announced the opening of the Help Desk at Ecomobiel: “In the region around Amsterdam we have gained a lot of experience and have found answers to questions which we want to share with our colleagues. Governments have to support one another in this growing field.”
