Test drive more than 70 types of electric vehicles including Johammer electro cruser

11. June 2014

One exciting current activity of the Hamburg EMIC is its comprehensive rental project ERFAHRE: Located conveniently in a parking house in Hamburg's inner city, those who want to try out and gather practical experience can try out more than 70 electric vehicles. Interested stakeholders can chose from a range of pedelecs, eBikes, eScooters to eCars - on 13.+14. June 2014, even the Johammer, an electric motorbike in retro-futuristic styling with a range of 200 km can be tested.

The cooperation between HAW Hamburg and the electric mobility information centre has a new configuration due to embedding the German Association of Electric Mobility (BEM) into the cooperation. Key actors behind the Hamburg EMIC are Florian Hempel and Bernd Repenning, the two managing directors of EVOLTE GmbH, focusing on mobility analyses and integrated concepts for e-mobility infrastructure, insurance, leasing and marketing. Mr Hempel is also in charge of BEM's Northern German Chapter and organizes regular roundtable meetings in all northern German "Länder".
