New E-mobility tool to facilitate location and design of publicly accessible EV charging infrastructure

In the frame of the project's work package 4, E-Mobility NSR partner Cities Institute/London Metropolitan University has developed a New E-mobility tool to facilitate location and design of publicly accessible EV charging.

The prototype presented here demonstrates several methodologies to enable stakeholders to exchange and monitor good practice with respect to the location and design of publicly accessible EV charging infrastructure. The prototype is designed to aid E-Mobility NSR project partners, Local Authority members and general public. The tool includes four functions: Gap Analysis, routing and the development of circular corridors, micro to macro visualisation of charge point distributions throughout the North Sea Region [virtual clustering], and the mapping of user feedback.

The code and supplementary documentation for this prototype are available for download (free of charge) online. It constitutes the foundation for further development in any of the four functions that the prototype currently entails.
