First electric car-ferry

21. January 2013

The Norwegian shipyard Fjellstrand has developed the first all-electric car ferry in the world in collaboration with Siemens. The 80 meter long catamaran has space for 120 cars and 360 passengers. It will be operating on the Sognefjord in Norway. The ship will recharge the batteries within ten minutes between the tours, which take about 20min.
