Conference on Future Automotive Technology Focus Electromobility

13. February 2013

Electromobility is one possibility for carbon neutral and environmentally friendly transportation concepts for the 21st century. Already in 2020, there will probably be up to one million electric vehicles on the German roads - from small city cars to large commercial vehicles. Bavaria can offer good opportunities to be a provider for electromobility with its three leading car and commercial vehicle manufacturers, the innovative technology companies, a trend-setting supplier industry and a dynamic research landscape.

The Conference on Future Automotive Technology as part of the Munich Colloquium takes place for the second time, still focusing on electromobility as a current and significant topic. Among the main subjects are vehicle concepts and engineering, powertrain, energy storage technologies, mobility and services as well as production. Those subjects will be discussed from the perspective of crosscutting issues, just as sustainability, safety, marketability and efficiency. Automotive experts from science and industry will meet in Munich-Garching on 18 - 19 March 2013 to exchange ideas and build up new collaborations for future innovations.
